I AM LEAVING TOMORROW WHAT IS HAPPENING

I leave tomorrow at 9:00 AM and yes I arrive in San Francisco around 1:30.
I have noooo idea whether I will update this in Japan.
I don't have a fancy smart phone so I definitely can't do it at the orientation unless I use someone else's phone.
I'm prettty sure my host family has wifi because they have been emailing me, but idk.
YEAH SO I MAY OR MAY NOT SEEE YOU GUYS SOON!

Plane Ticket!

So my plane ticket came in the mail today! Also a bunch of other information did too. AND A REALLY FANCY NECKLACE POUCH THING AS WELL. It has a paper with my name on it and everything :).
Yeah you guys, 14 more days! Did I mention that I am dying? Basically I start to foam at the mouth anytime I think about it. I am so very excited, and I'll update this right before I leave maybe???

HOST FAMILY

OKAY YOU GUYS I AM SO EXCITED I GOT MY HOST FAMILY. I am not sure why I am saying "you guys" because probably no one has ever seen this except for my mom (just kidding she doesn't even know i have a blog). ANYWAY. Yeah so I will be living in Daisen, Akita. I won't give any last names because safety. I'm not sure if the city is rural or not, but I guess I will find out. CAN WE WHAT SO EXCITED. okay so anyways yeah i have two host parents, Toshimitsu and Yoko. I wonder if they have pets! also okay so they have two daughters ages 15 and 26. I am assuming that the 26 year old doesn't live at home but i have no idea. YEAH. Only 17 more days! you can see that i am switching from using fancy capitalization to being a caveman, so sorry. ALSO SO i fly into tokyo and i get to stay there for ONE WHOLE NIGHT! i feel like i am forgetting something but oh well i can edit this if needed. OKAY I LOVE YOU ALL BYE.

Introduction

Hii so yeah, my name is Charlotte. This summer I will be traveling to Japan with the company Youth For Understanding. I'm going to Japan for 6 weeks, and it is unknown where I am staying. I want to know so badly though. ugh. I am going because of the very generous JAFS scholarship. I am so excited. I am just dying. Only 48 more days until the California Orientation! I have the state orientation next Sunday, which I am so excited for. So much excitement! The only downside is it is three hours away. So yeah, I have to bring a food native to the country I am going too. I want to do something that isn't too messy. I was thinking おにぎり (rice balls with filling) because it would be the easiest to eat. Maybe I will just make rice balls without the filling. Decisions, decisions. I really want to update this in Japan, but I am not sure if I will have internet access. See you soon!
